Welcome to the RBVIYC, the only yacht club in the region with Royal Ascent from Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We welcome anyone with an interest in watersports, whether you wish to participate or not! We have an active social and watersports events calendar, supported by our Club bar and restaurant. We welcome all ages and have active children and adult sailing programmes.

Teams from RBVIYC participate in regattas across the Caribbean, North and South America. Our children’s race team goes from strength to strength, with regular wins in international regattas. This in turn is providing a source of new talent to the BVI Olympic team. We also provide support to local children, regularly providing free sailing and tuition under the Kids And The Sea programme for under-privileged children.

Our adult racing teams also continue to out-compete boats from around the world, with recent regatta wins in St Croix and St Maarten. More often than not, our adult yachtsmen and yachtswomen play an active role in nurturing our many talented youth sailors by inviting them to step aboard and gain experience in big-boat regattas. RBVIYC is also a major sponsor and participant at the world renowned BVI Spring Regatta, held every April.

In addition to sailing, our members enjoy a variety of other watersports, including windsurfing, kayaking, scuba diving and deep sea fishing.

Our social activities are varied and tailored to meet the requirements of a wide membership base. They include:

-          Sports Night themes, with varied food nights including curry night, pub night and BBQ night

-          Taco night

-          Quiz night

-          Traditional Sunday Roasts

-          Oysters and martinis night

The club continues to develop under renewed management. Recent improvements include:

-          Facelift of the club exterior

-          New website which is actively managed showing all the latest club activities

-          Interior development including a new widescreen TV, satellite and cable channels and pool table

-          Development of an external children’s training and play area
