The BVI has a fleet of IC24 one design club racing boats based at Nanny Cay. These boats are frequent competitors at most of the RBVIYC yacht races.
In addition to this, there is a Friday after work training / racing session held outside Nanny Cay in the summer months for as long as the day light will last. Typical start times are around 5:30 pm.
Compared to more formal events, the beer can is very relaxed, and does not have the serious element that other races have. The only thing that is serious, is the fun!
If you are interested in learning to race, or wish to join us around the beer cans, contact Kieren at the Yacht Club, and we shall try to get you on a boat.
More information on IC24 can be found at www.ic24.org
Next Event:
Friday 23rd April.
